Low-speed WEDM is a kind of special production machine; the thermal deformation have a greatly influence to the machining accuracy. At present to solve this problem, the best solution is to take real-time monitoring error and compensate, which determine measuring points of temperature and thermal error compensation models are two key problems. Based on the analysis present research of domestic and international machine thermal error compensation, using fuzzy clustering method to optimize temperature measuring points, then establish thermal error compensation model with genetic algorithm to optimize BP network.Through the study, firstly established the selection program of temperature measure points based on fuzzy clustering method, then make the low-speed WEDM's thermal compensation model by the genetic algorithm optimize the BP neural network; On the basis of theoretical analysis and then experiments have been confirmed by experimental studies, this text constructed method can effectively improve the low-speed WEDM's thermal deformation errors. This text mainly does the following work:1. Through the research of the causes of low-speed WEDM's thermal deformation errors and investigation of the research status at home and abroad, and combined with the particular case of low-speed WEDM, the author puts forward the genetic algorithm to optimize the BP neural network modeling method and thermal error compensation fuzzy clustering method for measuring the temperature of the optimized selection of research plan.2. In order to preferably carry out the research of this subject, conduct for learning synthesized and summarized to this subject main involved theory such as BP artificial neural network and genetic algorithm. 3. Combining with the expert experience and take on the analysis of low-speed WEDM's thermal deformation, we determine the number of temperature measuring points, the arrangement method of temperature measuring points and construct the compensation model of thermal error.4. On the basis of theoretical analysis, do the environmental experiment having the type of DK7632 low-speed WEDM as a background. Through the experimental study, do further optimization to the model, the experiment preliminary proves that this study feasible to improve the precision of low-speed WEDM. This topic research lay a theory and experiment foundation for the popularity application of this method.
