The paper discussed the method of protection and revamping historical street(like Pucheng) which has a beneficial effect both for Conservation of Historical Cultural cities and protection of historical building.Recently, soaring urbanization and massive urban construction, especially in small town., undergoing an unprecedented development. It is goes without saying that a large scale of urbanization in small town brings a major impact on both traditional construction and block. With Guan Zhong-Tianshui economic going further., culture about Guan Zhong county,and historical block meet a crucial challenge. Then moral imperative to make changes is urgent and inescapable.Before doing research on protection and renovation to historical block, my paper which based on practice about previous outcome of protection of Pucheng historical block., has reached a conclusion that there has general problem during the process of protection and renovation the investigation and survey in other three county, Pucheng, Sanyuan,Hancheng,also contribute largely to the result. With the help of current successful story, my paper analyze the situation of it now and come up with a feasible and rational method, which includs Radical way,Gradual way and Mixed way to make it better for the protection of historical blocks.The main achievement of my paper should be as follows:(1) Analyzing relevant theory in and out of the country to find a new way to provide theory-support and measures to tackle the difficulties historical block face.(2) To provide theory-support and way of historical block protection and renovation.(3) Find and analyze where the problem is in terms of geography, nature background, development configuration toward historical block.(4) Show the details of current situation of historical building protection. And Come up my own measures on policy and institution level that aim to settle the problem about protecting historical building.
