| Power Load Management System is a technical method which is used to improve the waveform of power load. It can shift the peak and fill the bottom of power load, thus the power load becomes more balanced. The Power Load Management Terminal (which is called RTU below) is an important part of the system. RTU is at the end of the system, it is used to collecting^ monitoring and controlling the load of power customers. With the wider application of Power Load Management System in all over our country, the consumers bring forward more and more requirements about the functions of RTU. And furthermore, different consumers not only require different functions, but also need different communication channels.The traditional design method o RTU, which uses only one MCU, expand other modules in RTU with parallel bus. This kind of design method makes the expansion of the RTU's function not easy. On the other hand, the parallel bus is not good at anti-jamming. So the RTU's EMC performance is not easy to control and make the reliability of RTU bad.The article introduced the application of modularization design in the design of RTU. The technologies such as CAN BUS,distributed power design,ARM7,Mass Stroage and multi communication channels were used. The article argued about the theory, features, range of application and application notes of these technologies. In addition, the article gives some solutions for the problems in design.The samples using the modularization design prove the enhancement of RTU's function flexibilities, make the RTU's function combination more easier, most modules become inteligent. Furthermore, the RTU's reliability become more higher. If the customers can accept its cost, this kind of design method is worth of spreading. |
