Research Of Traditional Settlement Of The Middle Reaches Of Qinhe River Area

The traditional settlement of the middle reaches of Qinhe River area is of large number, well-preserved, with high protection and research value. In this paper, the form of residential cluster "settlement" is set as a starting point, select "middle reaches of Qinhe River area "as a qualification. The research is based on a number of studies of objects. First, this article tries to explain the formation of settlement from the living form of human, and do a detailed analysis on the formation of settlements. In Ming Dynasty, because of the important strategic position of Qinhe River region, the region became the aim of rebel army of bandits and peasants. This historical background cause the generation of the settlement type of Baozhai in the region. The defense system of Baozhai in middle reaches of Qinhe River area is well-preserved. It is outstanding in China's settlement type of Baozhai and traditional settlement of the middle reaches of Qinhe River area. This paper focuses on the level of defense system of settlement type of Baozhai. The studies of traditional residential architectures focus on residential features, flat shape of the yard and traffic organization. Finally, this article will discuss the traditional settlement areas for the protection of the development proposals based on the summary of the value of cultural heritage. This paper seeks to systematically analyze the traditional settlement of the middle reaches of Qinhe River area, and provide a scientific basis for the protection and development of traditional towns and villages.
