Cluster AP is a new antiaircraft gun ammunition, which can greatly increase the hit probability. This paper mainly carries research on the cluster ap's discarding process. Designed the reasonable sabot structure makes the sabot discarding successfully. The problem of Cluster AP's strength is different from normal AP's strength when the projectile is fired. This paper takes the analysis on the strength of cluster's ap and get it's stress distributing law.The flow field distribution of projectile in different velocity is analyzed, get the flow field regularity of distribution and the stress distribution of front cavity. Calculate the gunpowder aftereffect period press of bottom of projectile. Based on these date, we take the numerical simulation on the parting movement, discussing how much mechanical jamming the rod have when the outside sabot separating with different outside and inside sabot structure and different front cavity size. With the reasonable outside and inside sabot and size, the harmful mechanical jamming is lowest in the discarding process.
