Steel-concrete composite beam is a kind of member composed by reinfoced concrete slab and steel beam via shear connectors.Because composite beam combines the advantages of steel and concrete structures and has significant economic and social benefits,it is widely used in the construction industry in various fields. Although the steel-concrete composite beams have been involved in many aspects of research, in certain areas, some problems are not deeply involved, such as accurate analysis of the distribution of slip, the key factors affecting slip, the effects that the arrangement of shear connectors impact on the composit beam.Based on this, this paper takes the simply supported steel-concrete composite beam for an example to study the composite beam's mechanical behavior.First of all, this paper introduces the basic knowledge of composite beam, domestic and foreign research situation and achievements. Then, based on the force analysis of micro-section of the composite beam, this paper introduces the whole process through which the basic differential equation of composite beams build up and the analytical solution of the equation under three kinds of load.On this basis, this paper analyses the distribution rule of slip and curvature of the simply supported composite beam on which the concentrated loads impact. Then the paper describes the analytical and other methods of calculates deflection of composite beams, contrast analytical method with stiffness reduction method on their accuracy through examples and the results are verified by Ansys program. Then this paper introduces the principle of the transfer matrix method through which the paper analyses the mechanical behavior of composite beams. Finally, the paper introduces the plastic method which can calculate the bearing capacity of composite beams considering slip and finds out its impact factors.
