As a new non- contact rail transportation, maglev train has succeeded in engineering practices. Compared with traditional EMS, the High Temperature Superconductor hybrid EMS has following advantages, reducing energy consumption, increasing suspension gap and saving cost. It has been attracting a lot of scholars to begin to study this new kind technology in maglev field.Based on this background, and supported by Project 211 fund, this paper design hybrid suspension vehicles made of HTS(High Temperature Superconductor) and normal conductor coil.In this paper,the HTS hybrid suspension vehicles is designed,which includes vehicles body system,track system, HTS hybrid superconducting magnet,and so on. Firstly, calculate some parameters of the HTS hybrid magnet by the magnetic circuit method, then analysis and comparison through ANSYS electromagnetic simulation, determined the shape of the HTS hybrid magnet, core material, working current of superconducting coil, suspended gap size and superconducting coil position, on this basis, promotes the design of high temperature superconducting magnets.The rigid body of vehicles is decoupled through mechanical method. Finally, mathematical model of hybrid magnet is built and the principles of HTS hybrid suspension vehicles is analyzed.The simulation diagrams prove the design parameters is feasible.The experimental results prove that there is no quench in the hybrid magnet,evene with the maximum current which is 50A. The working current of balance is similar with simulation current. The feasibility of HTS hybrid suspension vehicles is validated. In addition, with the quick development of the HTS material and the refrigeration technology, the suspension system with hybrid electromagnets made of HTS coils and normal conductor coils will be widely applied in the maglev train.
