Horizontal directional drilling (HDD) is one of the most vigorous trenchless technology. It has a lot of characteristics such as develops rapidly, technological advance, applies widespread. It can be used to build or renew a wide range of pipelines for Municipal public utilities. At present a lot of time was consumed in the reaming of the key process in HDD. Proper shape and size of the reamer have an important effect with the resistance, the resistance torque and power consumption during the work,directly related to the level of work efficiency of HDD. As there is little design theories and design methods about drilling system has been done,the Low level of product innovation,the products are single on the market, simple structure, adaptability is bad,This situation has severely affected the efficiency and applications of HDD.According to the primary problem in practical application, The dissertation takes the drilling system as the objective of the study.First,,propose the structural design Theory of reamer by summarizing the shape and the adaptability of reamer.Secondly, study the working mechanism of reamer and the parameters of structural design, propose the main design ideas and parameter value method of reamer.Finally, calculate the design parameters with the parameter value method of reamer in accordance with the design requires.Based on the collected relevant information, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of existing Reamer using comparison method; study the soil compression and cutting mechanics using the basic theory of soil mechanics; Through the analysis of the the working mechanism and force of reamerin the reaming process , combine with basic theories of drilling and tunnelling, drawing following results and conclusions:1,Designed one reamer, it can be extrusion soil, which wing panel structure , It has the functions that Oriented, cutting, compaction drilling wall,is suitable for soft soil. 2,propose the method of Parameter values○1 by calculating the hole body flexuraling strength limit of ensure the drill string work safety,ensure pass smoothly and ensure the pipeline work safety,. drawn the length of reaming drill bit.○2 by calculating the diameter of the plastic circle, adjust the diameter of wheel.○3 by analyzing the relationship between the cutting speed and power consumption, drawn the optimal angle of the wing with the same face.3,Propose the formula of Parameter(spull back force,torque and power), provided the basis for the selection of boxing machine.4,With the situation of formation in Shanghai,drawn that○1 the structure and size parameters of the KJ150/600-type expander:expander overall length 1.15m, diameter of reamer from 140mm to 600mm;the oriented segment length 350mm, diameter 140mm; the cutting segment length 550mm, diameter of reamer from 140mm to 490mm; the extrusion segment length 250mm, extruded thickness 110mm, the wheel axis is 165mm, short axis of 90mm.○2 the required parameters of drill:the tension is 210KN, the torque is 4.5KN.m, the power is 158KW, therefore,selected to the medium-sized rig which can meet the operational needs.The study can put forward a related design theory and methods of expander design,,to facilitate the designers of the future reference; Also can provide the production with high technological content for the business enterprise, raise the production efficiency, lower the production cost. This is theoretically value and practical significance for the advance and development of level of HDD in our country.
