This paper is mainly divided into two parts, one of which is the modeling and simulation on the power system stabilizer (PSS) and the other is electrical system simulation of JianBi 1000MW thermal power plant. The second part includes the equipment and local simulation as well as the research and verification on the ECS which is carried out during the course of simulation.For the power system stabilizer, the paramount thing is the analysis of the role it plays in the power system transient stability. Take the 1000MW unit parameters for example, the simulation of single infinite system is carried out using the PSS toolbox under SIMULINK. The influence of PSS on the power system transient stability is analyzed qualitatively when three-phase short circuit fault of the system occurs both with PSS in excitation system connected and non-accessed. Then the algorithm and the primitive of PSS is defined in the AnySimu(PAnySimu) simulation platform and the the algorithm is programmed in C++ Builder6.0 environment with storage and debugging followed. The usability of the newly written algorithms is verified througth startup response test on the occasions stated above on the electrical simulation systems which is built with the JianBi 1000MW power plant as prototype.The second part is based on the electrical systems simulation model which is built with the JianBi 1000MW power plant as prototype. The electrical equipment of transformer unit and the load part of the system were studied by simulation.For the local simulation of electrical system, the load simulation system of 6KV-22 section of the load part is established using local configuration software Pmake and its configuration and running processes are described in detail. In the established electrical system model, simulation and debugging was conducted and during the process of model debugging the performance of ECS control system is fully researched and validated.Then apply it to the of JianBi power plant and shortens the debugging time of ECS system. Next perturbation experiments of the electrical system model are carried out in different conditions in order to verify the usability of the model. Finally, the electrical fault simulation methods were studied. The simulation system has been applied to simulation training in the ultra-supercritical units of JianBi 1000MW power plant and achieved great results.
