As one of the important power transmission part, planet diverters operational reliability directly affects A tracked vehicle maneuvering performance, this paper takes the××××××tracked general chassis planet diverter which presently equips by our army as the research object, integrates reliability theory and the equipment practical application, has carried on the fault analysis and the life forecast, makes every effort provides the theory instruction and the basis reference for the planet diverter reliability growth and the equipment maintenance.This paper first utilizes the reliability analysis technology, including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), has established the planet diverter common failure tree, obtained the important bottom events which cause planet diverter breakdown; Then has carried on the FMECA analysis in view of the important bottom events, through to each failure mode criticality degree qualitative and quantitative comparison, obtained the key and important parts of the planet diverter, has been clear about the preventive measure and the improvement method, has established the reliability life forecast object.Aiming at the key and important parts, the paper integrates the machine design, mechanical dynamic analysis theory, frictional wear theory and failure analysis theory, etc. utilizes MATLAB/Simulink computer simulation software, has established the dynamics model of the friction disc and the brake, which as important function part of the planet diverter, the key point is the transient work process dynamic simulation of clutch combination and separation process of the planet diverter, inquired into its failure mechanism and failure rule; Finally according to the wearing capacity and its Simulink simulation module, has forecast the friction disc and the brake reliability life.
