With the rapid development of IT technology, handheld machine and electrical vehicle, the need of high efficient power supply is growing fast, and the lithium ion battery has become the one of the fastest field in power supply development. Lithium ion battery has 4 times specific energy and specific power than Nickel-Cadmium battery. Recently the development of lithium ion battery is growing rapidly as 20% per year. The electrolyte of lithium ion battery is one of the key point to the performance of lithium ion battery, and it determines the efficiency of charge transferring and the speed of charge moving. Therefore electrolyte plays an important role of lithium ion battery.Because the ligand of cyanide-substituents croconic acid contains two ortho-hydroxyl group, and the effect of cyano-group electron-attracted function, plus in the structure of carboxylic acid in Oxalic acid, all of the above can form an anion with boron element, and finally we synthesis new lithium salts through the anion with lithium ion, it is a new structure and has a good electrochemical performance. This paper consists of four chapters.Chapter 1:Through reading and studying a large of related reference, the research progress of lithium ion battery was stated, and the electrolyte of lithium ion battery was introduced briefly.Chapter 2:Two new types of ligand and its lithium salts (LNCNCOB,LCNCOB) were designed and synthesized respectively. All of them have been characterized by IR,ICP. On the other hand I tried to synthesize mono subtstituted cyano-group croconic acid ligand, however, because there was not enough time, the final production was not synthesized.Chapter 3:The physical-chemistry properties about those lithium salts were researched from thermodynamic properties (such as:solubility, thermal stability) and electrochemical properties (such as:conductivity,,oxidizing potential),Part 4:Conclusions and prospect. This study synthesized two new types of lithium salts:LNCNCOB,LCNCOB, which were characterized and tested of structure properties and electrochemical properties. The conclusions were made about this study, and some related points were stated, which would be improved in the research. Finally the prospect was stated, which is about the applications of lithium ion battery in the future...
