With the emergence of the new permanent magnet materials and the development of power electronics technology. BLDC becomes a brand-new mechatronic motor. Because of BLDC has a wide range of applications in each industrial control field, more and more limitations have been showed in the traditional position sensor control method, the advantage of sensorless control method was emerged gradually, this paper takes the Freescale MC56F8006 DSC (digital signal controller) as the control core, and uses 3-stage start and back-EMF zero crossing to detect the rotor position, the purpose is to achieve BLDC with sensorless control.The paper analyses and researchs the principle of back-EMF zero crossing detection sensorless control and the design of zero crossing detection circuit in detail, in the basis of introducing the BLDC operation principle and mathematical model detailedly. The paper takes 3-step startup way in the starting, from DC motor stationary to accelerate until the motor speed can reach the range of back-EMF detection, and then switch to a brushless DC motor working condition. By the the simulation and experiment of the development board, it show that the 3-step startup methods can do well with the behind sensorless technology. After system startup, taking the back-EMF zero crossing detection to detect the rotor position during operation, and then revesing the rotor position, to ensure the motor rotor can work well. Back-EMF is measured by the terminal voltage method in this paper.Finally, BLDC sensorless control system is established by taking MC56F8006 DSC and APMOTOR56F8000e motor driven plate as the core, and the corresponding hardware test platform is built. BLDC sensorless embedded software control system was designed in CodeWarrior 8.3 IDE. The experiment shows that the control system has the advantages of simple structure, rapid response and high reliability, which can perform successfully in BLDC sensorless control.
