Mine ventilator is used to provide fresh air, eliminate toxic, harmful gases and dust, which affect greatly in coal mine safety production. Mine ventilator has long working hours throughout the year, and the average power consumption accounts for a large mine-power ratio. Most of the traditional mine ventilator use direct startup methods with constant speed, achieve air volume regulation by adjusting the blade angle of the fan and the tailgate of air passage. The method is simple but has great ventilation resistance caused a lot of wasted energy. It can achieve effective energy-saving effect by using direct torque control technology of the ventilator to adjust air volume regulation and the method has greater impact to the mine's safety production and saving energy, reducing emissions.This paper studied on the basic principles of direct torque control of the asynchronous motor by using Matlab Simulink simulation tools for the simulation of DTC. Study the speed sensorless technology, and the simulation verification was carried out. On this basis, the direct torque control system of the mine ventilator with the core of TM320F2812 has been established and tested by experiment. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) It has superior startup performance, powerful load following capacity, excellent speed governing function by using mine ventilator with DTC.(2) Mine ventilator with DTC has high average output power and can achieve energy conservation goals.(3) The method used direct torque control technology need to process information constantly by using demanding chips. The running-speed of TM320F2812 microprocessor is fast, and has a large number of peripherals for motor control, shows strong practicability and applicability.
