Long-span bridge is a country's economic lifeline and their huge investment in the economy and the important role of national economic make the security, durability and normal use of long bridge more and more important. New energy is brought into the development of bridge, because of the coming forth of cable-stayed bridge. Cable-stayed bridge make progress in large-span direction, due to its super crossover capability and virtue. As spans increase, there are many issues to follow and to ensure the safety of the bridge, damage identification is particularly important. The major work of this paper is as follows:Firstly, this paper introduced the current study situation of structure damage identification and classified damage-identification ways.Thereinto,detailed description and formula derivation of modal curvature method and flexibility matrix method are performed, which are based on structure dynamic characteristics.Secondly, this thesis introduced how to create finite element model of main girders and cables ,and ANSYS software was applied to build the finite element model of Jointang cable-stayed bridge.Meanwhile,the structural analysis software MIDAS Civil was also used to establish FEM model of Jingtang cable-stayed bridge.Therefore,the correctness of the finite element model can be verified by contrasting the models created by ANSYS and MIDAS Civil respectively.Lastly, the sensitivities of towers, cables and main beam of Jingtang bridge to corresponding damage indicators can be get by comparative analysis of ANSYS calculations.
