HRBF500 steel is newly developed by the metallurgy industry. When used in railways, bridges and other projects, it will bear repeatedly loads. Therefore, there is an urgent need to study the fatigue performance of HRBF500 high reinforced concrete members. In this article, the finite element analysis is done about fatigue performance of both HRBF500 reinforced concrete beams and prestressed concrete beams combining with "The subject of high technology research and development (863) projects (2008 AA 030704)". The main contents are as follows:(1) Modeling analysis of HRBF500 reinforced concrete beams and prestressed concrete beams:The finite element models of beams are established according to the section and reinforcements of the test beams, including the element type selection,geometric models building,reinforced concrete structural models building,the selection of material parameters,grid element division and so on.(2) Static loading performance analysis of HRBF500 reinforced concrete beams and prestressed concrete beams:Based on ANSYS software, the analysis of static load performance is made to the HRBF500 high reinforced concrete beams. The cracking loads,maximum loads,crack distributions of test beams are calculated under static load. According to the results of calculations, the load-strain curves, the load-deflection curves and cracks distribution maps are drawn. The comparisons are done between the results of simulation and the test results. The results of the finite element analysis coincides with test results well, which verifies the accuracy of the finite element model building and calculation.(3) The finite element analysis of fatigue performance for HRBF500 reinforced concrete beams and prestressed concrete beams:Basing on the models above,fatigue analysis module of the ANSYS software and the simplified elasto-plastic theory, the fatigue lives of beams are forecasted under fatigue load, which are compared with test results then. On this basis, applicable fatigue life calculation formulas are fitted for reinforced concrete beams of rectangular and trapezoidal section under different load amplitudes.(4) Fatigue damage mechanism of reinforced concrete beams with HRBF500:Based on the fatigue life forecast of test beams, combining with test results, the fatigue damage mechanism for stiffness of HRBF500 reinforced concrete beams is analyzed and studied. Fatigue damage model for stiffness of HRBF500 reinforced concrete beams is built, on the basis of which, referring to the test datum, fatigue damage formulas of stiffness are fitted for the rectangular and trapezoidal beams in first and second stages, providing theoretical support for engineering practice.
