Artillery played an important role in the war, along with the requirements of accuracy and range of artillery fire increase, the diameter of the Artillery barrel needs higher and higher measurement precision. Instead of smooth, the barrel bore of artillery distribution of "Rifling", and the barrel up to 10m or above.so,to achieve high-precision measurement of the diameter of the artillery barrel,we must solve the problem of sensor accuracy and the high-precision positioning of the measuring devices.The barrel diameter measuring system In this paper is an integral part of a project, which uses high-precision dual-frequency laser Interference system as a sensing device, and the use of high-speed,high-performance DSP processor as a data processing and control unit, high-precision automatic positioning device was designed for the sensor within the barrel.The motion of measuring device in the barrel was controled by a servo control system.The barrel diameter measurement system not only can achieve automatic positioning within the barrel, automatic measurement, but also has high accuracy advantages,wide measurement range and strong anti-interference ability, The barrel diameter measurement system improved the accuracy and automation of artillery barrel measurement.
