Slope weak ground is a common geological type in the southwest of China. It is easy to emerge collapse instability or too large deformation when fill the embankment over slope weak ground. The existing pile-net structure usually used in horizontal soft ground, though this measure has been used to reinforce the slope weak ground and achieve good results, there is no related research about the structure loading mechanism & the treatment effect of pile-net structure reinforce the slope weak ground.According to numerical simulations, analyzing the factors of the weak layer that affect the embankment stability, obtained the difference between the horizontal soft ground and the slope weak ground, then established the numerical model of pile-net structure reinforce the slope weak ground with the example of Yu-Huai railway. This article compared the slope weak ground and the horizontal soft ground basis on four conditions which are no engineering treatment, only lay geogrid, only put up Reinforced Concrete(RC) piles, pile-net composite structures. The content involoved comparative analysis about the security and stability of embankment, the ground deformation, the geogrid tensile, the axial force, shear & moment of RC piles, the pile-soil stress ratio, etc. It obtained the difference of the structure force and design features between the horizontal soft ground and the slope weak ground.Because the geological conditions and the height of the embankment is distinctive along the railway. line, it is essential to select the appropriate geogrid type and RC piles is necessary with the actual conditions, and choose the optimize design to achieve double-excellent situations in reinforcement effect and economical applicability.
