This paper introduced traffic noise prediction models often applied home and abroad. Highway noise prediction models FHWA that is widely used in highway EIA noise prediction and the prediction models which is recommended by Ministry of Transport of the People Republic of China were discussed in detail. In addition, the noise prediction models that can be seen in the technical guidelines for environmental impact assessment that was published in 2009.It shows that the prediction models of the technical guidelines for environmental impact assessment were more reasonable and scientific by comparison and analysis this several models. In this model, the environmental standards of Vehicle model, road conditions and traffic thins and so on were identical with actual conditions of our country. So, applying this model is more accurately.This thesis regards several thruway of Sichuan province as the research object. By analysis predict consequences of noise prediction models of technical guidelines for environmental impact assessment that was published in 2009 in different sections of thruway, traffic thins and different distances and comparing predict consequences with actual measurement results, it shows that both new prediction models of technical guidelines and actual measurement are better. The error was studied from sound source and the selection of parameter. By monitoring noise and recording the variation of vehicle model and traffic thins of each lane in monitor sites of thruway and referring to other parameters of the monitor sites of thruway, sound source distribution of traffic noise was studied. According to the noise predication model of in the new guideline recommended by ministry of environment and real monitor results, predict noise in divided highway is lower than actual results but is more similar monitor results than the prediction results in multilane.The research results is important to noise prediction of thruway, environmental impact assessment, control of environmental noise pollution and distribution law of sound source intensity.
