Train working diagram is the foundation of transport organization, and has direct influence upon efficiency and security of transport organization. Compared to train working diagram of railway, complexity of train working diagram of urban rail transit has its own characteristics.This thesis summarized existing research results and analyzed some key problems in compiling train working diagram of urban rail transit, mainly includes:1 the effect of multiple running paths on compiling train working diagram2 conflicts between turn-back train and train running on line at middle turn-back station3 conflicts between train entrance/exit from the yard and turn-back train, conflicts between train entrance/exit from the yard and train running on line4 compilation of the line between peak and off-peak timesAfter the analysis of the key problems, the compilation automatically of train working diagram of urban rail transit was divided into several related sub-problems. Several models were established and algorithms were found to solve these sub-problems. Some ideas borrowed from research results to solve compilation of train working diagram of railway and arrangement of operation plan for railway station. These models and algorithms are:1 the model of specifying the lines of train working diagram of urban rail transit. Borrowed ideas from the definition of equilibrium of train working diagram of railway, the definition and mathematical description of separate-equilibrium of train working diagram of urban rail transit were given. The model was established with minimum separate-equilibrium of train working diagram as objective function, and service frequency as constraint condition. Those key problems were ignored in this model.2 the model of arrangement of rolling stock working diagram. Borrowed ideas from the model for arrangement of locomotive routing, this model was established. According to the characteristics of trains, an algorithm was presented.3 the model of arrangement of rolling stock turn-back route. Borrowed ideas from the model of receiving-departure track application, this model was established and an algorithm based on elitist strategy for ant system was presented.4 adjustment policy when feasible solution can not be found was established as well as the adjustment policy to prevent conflicts between train entrance/exit from the yard and train running on line. At last, an example was given to test and verify validity of the models and algorithms described in this thesis. The data used in the example comes from a light rail from jiaochangkou station to xinshancun station in chongqing city.
