This paper aims to study a NBR-Metal composite gasket that can be used for the seall of the menchanical components which work at low-temperature enviroment (about -40℃-160℃). Use the method of painting the NBR coating on the surface of the metal to prepared the rubber-metal gaskets.At first, using the theoretical calculation combining with experiments to obtain the solution parameter of the NBR raw rubber, and according to the results, confirm the solvent of the NBR, comprehensively considering the factors of the toxicity, volatilization volatilitym, viscosity, price and chemical stability to make certain the category of the solvent. Secondly, testing the performance of the coat(such as adhesive strength, hardness degree, heat-resistant, liquid-resistant, the shearing intensity, the SEM and the DSC) to determine the final formula. The main factors which affect the performance of the coat are the type of raw rubber, solvent, the type and the amount of curing agent, reinforcing agent, antioxidant, and at last, the activity curing agent. Finally, the impaction of Metal Surface-Disposed method was discussed, and different painting techniques and operation process were discussed.
