This paper described the applications of the triple shear unified failure criterion to the geotechnical engineering.Using the triple shear unified failure criterion to analysis the stress on soil compaction pile and analysis of the relationship between soil compaction pile hole wall compaction pressure and the radius, drawed a new unified solution.The result showed that using the triple shear unified failure criterion to analysis the development of the process of plastic body.Based on the triple shear unified failure criterion we solved the ultimate bearing capacity and get rock foundation bearing capacity formula, result showd that bearing capacity decreases with the intermediate principal b and intermediate principal have a significant impaction on ultimate bearing capacity; Using the triple shear unified failure criterion to analysis three of space axisymmetric stress state of the punching strength of concrete slab, the failure load factor increased with the value of b. and compared its results with Mohr-Coulomb criterion results,we can obtain the calculated value of the guidelines drawn is closer to experimental values and the actual value:Applicated the triple shear unifiedfailure criterion to analysis the critical embankment fill height,the result showed that the shear strength using the triple shear unifiedfailure criterion do not take into account relative to the intermediate principal stress for Mohr-Coulomb criterion, but using the triple shear unifiedfailure criterion the result can increase by 17%to 50%.The resule showed that a high degree of accuracy the critical foundation; Based on the triple shear unifiedfailure criterion to analysis the resistance coefficient of tunnel surrounding rock, solved the computational expressions of rock resistance coefficient; In summary, using the triple shear unifiedfailure criterion to solve engineering problems not only considered the influence of intermediate principal stress but also overcome the problem of double slip angle, so that the derived results are more realistic...
