Study On The Decoration Details Of The Residental Archture Of Naxi Nationality In Yunnan

Among the residential architecture of ethnic minorities in China, the architectural decoration of Naxi nationality in Yunnan province is unique. Their decorations have various exhibition styles, shaping regularity with special idea and traditional culture connotation with profound details, which have some reference significance in studying the residential architectures in our country.The surveying object of this thesis is the existent residence of Naxi nationality. The research primarily focuses on the form categories and cultural connotation of the architectural decoration details, which has some realistic meaning on inheriting the traditional culture in the form of folklore and residential decoration.The thesis includes five parts.The first part is introduction.In the second part, for the residential decoration of Naxi nationality, its environmental characteristics, including the general situation of this nationality and the space, plane and shaping styles of the residence, were analyzed.In the third part, the artistic style of the decoration details of Naxi residence was analyzed, which contains subject selection, research on the configuration pattern, exhibition styles of the color texture, traditional technology, Naxi people's taste and so on. The residential decoration was interpreted from the angle of artistic style.The forth part focuses on studying the basic construction and the detail characteristics of the decoration of Naxi nationality residence, which includes the decoration of housetop, beam and post's details, wall and floor corner, the detailed analysis of components such as partition screen between door and window, indoor furnishings, and mascot. Furthermore, the cultural content was deeply explored by analyzing the decoration form of the architectures from outer to inner, including the analysis on the aspects of humanities and thinking, such as view of nature, geomantic omen and life, and the factors affecting the presentation of pluralistic development characteristics of the architectural decoration. In the fifth part, through analyzing massive real cases in Lijiang ancient city, the artistic and social value of the residential decoration of Naxi nationality was summarized, which is an artistic creation of harmony of nature and human beings, and a precious heritage honoring the before and after and bringing benefit endlessly. The future design direction of residential decoration should be a new kind of new Chinese-style landscape. Therefore it should not only inherit the local specific culture, but reflect its own connotation. And also it should unify the architecture and the environment and make the traditional and modern factors develop harmoniously. And meantime this is where the innovation points of this thesis are.As a special subject of residential architectures, the residential decoration of Naxi nationality preserves much information about the regional culture and is precious archeological relics for studying the subjects about local culture, history, folklore and so on. In the view of residential research, the development of residences accumulates the aesthetic sentiment of the nation and cultural psychology. The study on the residential decoration details of Naxi nationality has values in ecology, history, time, culture and art.
