In the construction of modern highway and urban elevated road,bridge project is not only huge on scale , but also is the throat in site traffic . Bridge structures which are in during military service, With wind load, corrosion effects and so on, the material internal structure will be changed and it will induce a variety of damage.If the damage is not detected and repaired timely, it will cause great loss to people's lives and property security. Therefore, the damage detection technology of the structures plays a very important role.In recent years, among of recognitions of bridge structure,the damage identification research based on vibration information becoms a hot topic home and abroad. In the process of the search based on vibration information, people did a lot of work, and developed a large number of methods. damage identification methods based on the flexibility matrix got certain development, and had obtained some achievements, But most of these methods are about one-dimensional structures and truss structures,it is rare in the study of two-dimensional structure. In this paper, flexibility matrix and Gauss Curvature are combined,and it difined the concept of FGC(Flexibility Poor Gauss Curvature).Then the method is applied in damage identification and it was proofed an effective damage identification method.And it provided theory and experiment basis for future research on reinforced concrete structural damage identification methods.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1) it defined the concept of FGC(Flexibility Poor Gauss Curvature).(2) using finite element analysis software,it built a three piece T beam combination model, and it artificialy setted different damaged conditions, maded the modal analysis, with the Flexibility Poor Gauss Curvature method it made damage identification, the results showed that the method worked well with the structures which are damaged with only, several and even tiny damages.(3) in laboratory, a three piece T beam combination model is poured,through the static load test,it got five different damage conditions. With the Application of dynamic testing system of LMS modal experiment is made, and modal analysises are conducted, and also the Flexibility poor Gauss Curvature methods are applied in the damage identification. And the results showed that the recognition can identified with the structures which are damaged with only, several and even tiny damages.That is to say,the method of Flexibility Poor Gauss Curvature is effective.
