This thesis is devoted to the dynamic responses problems of coupled vehicle-bridge system, and to the problems of a stochastic optimal control tactics applied in the coupled vehicle-bridge system.The results of the research on the dynamic responses and control tactics of coupled vehicle-bridge system from predecessors are summed up in this thesis at first. Then some numerical methods, models of random road roughness, and coupled vehicle-bridge system involved in the thesis are presented briefly, and calculate dynamic responses of three types of coupled vehicle-bridge system compared with results published in order to prove that methods applied are correct and reliable.Based on the random vibration theory, the main contributions of this thesis are as following:Firstly, research on the stochastic dynamic responses of coupled vehicle-bridge system. The mathematical model of coupled vehicle-bridge system is built, of which mean square responses are analyzed and calculated, where the random road roughness, the change of vehicle speed, and the damping of bridges, are taking into account.Secondly, the Linear Quadratic Gaussian stochastic optimal control (LQG), and the tuned mass damper control (TMD) are imposed on the coupled vehicle-bridge system. The numerical results presented in this thesis show that both of the two methods can reduce the dynamic responses of the coupled vehicle-bridge system effectively.It can be forecasted that the dynamic response calculate method and the stochastic optimal control tactics presented in this thesis can provide data and theoretical references for the farther research in coupled vibration of vehicle-bridge system.
