At present, the research of adaptive wing based on intelligent materials and structure attract extensive attention in the worldwide.With the adaptive wing, the weight of aircraft could be reduced.Then application of smart technologies to adaptive or morphing wings may allow the aircraft to have its shape to match the most efficient form in a hybrid flight regime.The research on Large-Deformation skin structure of morphing wings has become one of the keys in this study.Firstly, the development of morphing wings and skin structures were introduced. Trapezoidal skin structures with large deformation used in morphing wing were presented. Secondly, mechanics analysis theoretical model of the trapezoidal skin structures were established. Theoretical model results and finite element analysis results were compared to verify the validity of the theoretical model. Once again, fabrication methods and process of composite material structures were investigated and the test sample of trapezoidal skin structure was achieved, mechanical properties experimental of planer composite materials, the measurement system which was used for detecting of structure strain and vibration were designed. Finally, the detection experiments of strain and vibration of corrugated skin structure in adaptive structure were achieved,which verify the feasibility in the design of the skin structure and the measurement system. This research will provide foundation for parameters of corrugated skin structure and optimum preparation.
