Bridge is an important lifeline project. After the earthquake, those bridges which could still be used in certain degree are very important for relief, and the bridge structure can maintain a certain function on the premise that damage of the bridge structure can be controlled within a certain range. We know, the use function of bridge depends on the damage extent of piers.Therefore,this article carry out the pseudo-static experiment to nine contraction bridge models,and do the seismic damage research..combined with the results of 27 pier columns of the pseudo-static experiment,the article deduced a new seismic damage assessment criterion, In hopes of could make a precise and effective speculate for the residual resistance, damage degree and service reliability to the not collapsed bridges in seismic area. In this thesis , the major work is as follows:①The thesis systematically introduces the failure mechanism of structure under the effect of earthquake; More detailed introduces the development of the theory of structural seismic and inturduces the seismic design theory based on damage performance targets, this thesis expounds the various seismic design method of collaborative relationship between transition.②The thesis systematic induction three levels of study of damage problem, from materials, components, structure levels,discuss the the nature of the damage problems .Particularly important reviews the research progress of component damage index based on the damage parameter , and by comparing, points out the advantages and disadvantages of various damage parameter and all kinds of existing double parameters failure criteria deficiency.③In the basis of extensive literature investigation, combining previous reinforced concrete bridge pier pseudo-static experiment results.As far as possible real simulation of the pier with acting load and boundary conditions,according to this principle, the thesis select a western seismic project reinforced concrete pier pseudo-static experiment cantilever. Through collecting the data and the phenomenon of the experiment to provides the basis for establishing seismic damage standards.④Establish a reinforced concrete structure seismic damage double parameters model. Model grouped the damage parameters (stiffness, two residual deformation) which could intuitivey describe the pier damage degree together through a certain combination rule.Using 31 pier columns pseudo-static experiment results in the United States and Japan database combined with the experiment results of the nine pier in this thesis ,through regression analysis ,obtained combination coefficients of two damage parameters. Combined with each test experiment phenomena,get the new double parameters seismic damage model.⑤Through the test staticstics analyzes different pier column normalization displacement ductility level and damage index relationship.
