As an important infrastructure in modern cities, municipal pipeline systems are the life line of cities existence and development. Its reliability directly affects the normal living and security of urban systems. It's necessary to detect the damage and to analyze the integrity of pipeline so as to guarantee the security and reliability of water system. Therefore, it is meaningful to research the ultrasonic automatic data acquisition system for the damage and to analyze the integrity of damaged pipeline based on three-dimensional data of damage.Based on the advantage of ultrasonic technology and the character of damage, the design plan of ultrasonic automatic detection system is determined from the theory and methods ultrasonic detection. The proper hardwares are chose and debugged, the software functions are designed for outputting the thickness data of the sample in ultrasonic data acquisition system which is combined with the automatic equipment to detect the three-dimensional data of damage.In order to check the detection capability of the system, the detection method is determined based on the research of theory and experiment, and many experiments have been designed to examine the reliability and efficiency of system, and detect the real sample of damage.The method which is applied to analyze the mechanical property of buried pipelines and based on the indexes which influence the integrity of damaged pipeline from the failure analysis is used to analyze the integrity of damaged pipeline. Pipe/Soil interaction model which based on soil constitutive model and the damaged pipeline solid model which is built based on the three-dimensional data of damage is established, and combined with the load on the buried pipelines, we analyze mechanical properties in ABAQUS, and research the integrity analysis of damaged pipeline from the different positions of damage in circumferential direction of pipe, different numbers of damage in axial direction, and classic loads.
