Considering the design of single-layer cylindrical reticulated shell, neural part lies in the stability of single-layer reticulated shell, Futher more, it's crucial to choose the right calculation model in the process of stability analysis. Recently, people have achieved prominent results in the research of elastic and elasto-plastic analysis of single-layer cylindrical reticulated shell. While,many joints in the spatial structure belong to semi-rigid joints, whose rotary stiffness is between the rigid ones and the pin ones. But in fact,bolt-joint has capacity of bearing partial bend,and sometimes we have neglected it. Semi-rigid joints show a great deal of advantage such as convenient construction, beautiful appearance and the merit of engineering application. Therefore, it has very broad prospects. Up to now, the research in the analysis of single-layer cylindrical reticulated shell is very limits, and the test on the semi-rigid jointed reticulated shell model is urgently called for. There are rare theoretical fruits that serve for pratical engineering, which greatly restricts the development of semi-rigid jointed reticulated shell. Thus, it has great prospects to carry on test on the stability analysis of single-layer cylindrical reticulated shell.Bolt-joint system is the most popular kind among semi-rigid joints. The present paper carries out simulation research on this kind of joint based on ANSYS. In this process, we systematically state the way the semi-rigid joint is done with in the software, and finally established the simulated model of single-layer cylindrical reticulated shell. Then we got the curve of load-displacement is abstracted by nonlinear finite element analysis.We carry out the test on semi-rigid joint single-layer cylindrical reticulated shell, and meanwhile we study the influence by the initial defects. Stability and strength could be abtained from the load-displacement curve of the max-displacement node. By using the load control and the displacement control rule, we get the desired load-displacement curve whose down period is just perfectBy comparing the test result with the numerical simulation, we can see they match rather well. The modeling way of semi-rigid jointed reticulated shell presented in this paper could predict the loading capacity of the structure and its off-balance mode. Obviously it's a feasible and valueable way to create semi-rigid joint structure model. Thus this paper offers method and technical backups for application in engeering.
