To promote the operating of energy-saving emission reduction and heating workefficient fair, some new approaches of heat metering is presented by many domesticwell-known scholars, the outstanding one among them is the on-off household heat meteringsystem.CFD software FLUENT is used to evaluate the result of dynamic simulation of on-offheating measure system. The on-off time of transient condition is received. Firstly, theexperimental and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods were used to investigate theon-off heating measure system. The experimental data were used to validate CFDthree-dimensional dynamic heat transfer models. It is found that CFD software FLUENTprocedure provides the potential for solving the problem of heat metering, whilst effectivelyand accurately modelling heat transfer through the building fabric. The dynamic characteristics of a room heating system with a radiator thermostat wereinvestigated in simulations to analyze therelationship between the thermostat control and thethermal dynamics in the rooms. Dynamic characteristics of radiators in heat metering systemswere studied using a developed dynamic model for the radiators with various flow rates. Theon-off time of transient condition is received. Pointed out that the residual water of radiatorwill have a great impact on the on-off time. The on-off time can not be direct used for thethermal sharing for deviation. The dynamic characteristics of a room heating system were investigated in simulations toanalyze the relationship between the thermostat control and the the thermal dynamics in therooms. The on-off time of transient condition is received. The model used dynamic equationsfor the on-off heating measure system, three-dimensional dynamic heat transfer models issuccessful established. It is seen that room location, room control temperature, heat transferbetween households, radiator water temperature and other factors would have affected onon-off time. The results of a case study to simulate the dynamic the thermal conditions within typicalworking day of a three-person family using CFD software FLUENT procedure are reported. The result indicates the room temperature reduces slowly during electrically operated ballvalve closing process. It may satisfy the person thermal comfort, simultaneously will notcause cold. The on-off household heat metering system suits the requests of low-cost andenergy conservation efficient in the heating system reform in China. The on-off time and area method has some theoretical guidance to promote the role of.The analysis result shows the on-off household heat metering system playes vital roles inEnergy-saving emission reduction and the fairly run of heat metering work.
