Civil engineering construction in china is in a period which both reconstruction and reinforcement are very important. Fiber Reinforced Polymer (abbreviation for FRP ) reinforcement has unsurpassed advantages compared with traditional reinforcement methods, therefore, it is hot pot of structural reinforcement research. It can significantly improve the pressure strength and the sexual of the concrete, when using FRP to confined concrete columns. It is relatively mature for relevant research, the paper aims to research rectangular concrete columns reinforcement using FRP.Before the paper, I have read a lot of domestic and foreign documents, summariz the research of FRP reinforce concrete structure, collect 188 pieces of test data to reinforce rectangular concrete columns using FRP, and create a database. Summarize current typical model to use FRP to confined circle or rectangular concrete columns,ΣQ evaluate the current formula of FRP confined rectangular columns, using sum of error squares.On the basis of the thing that forefathers study,combined with database trial,improve strength formula of FRP confined rectangular columns, and make a better results. Using the improved formula, the paper discussed side proportional and Rotating angles size which have a impact on the effect of FRP confined rectangular concrete columns and get the influence curve; besides, the paper also discussed FRP strengthening reinforced concrete rectangular columns, trying to use equivalent thickness of FRP and Mander Model, and introduce the calculation formula of strength, at last, verify the result according to the test data in documents.The test data of this paper derive from various documents, it maybe lead to some errors in evaluation results because of the difference in the test equipment and property of Material, If need to achieve a more accurate results, should make a large amount of trials under the same condition, against different Influencing factors of FRP confined rectangular columns efficiency, then create database to evaluate.
