With the rapid development of China economy, the demand of coral energy is enlarged. Meanwhile, under the heavy-load raise-speed policy of China railway,the critical line Da-Qin was came into service for two ton. As the load is increasing,the train working condition is getting to be complicated and the usage condition of coupler and draft system is worse. According to the examiner and repair result of coupler and yoke, cracks appears in short time,and fatigue break is the main damage form. So it is important to study the fatigue life of the coupler and yoke that working less than two ton load.The study object of this paper is 17-type coupler and yoke, and checks their static strength. Using the load spectrum draw from the actual data measured on the coupler of Da-Qin Line, the crack life of them computed by using local stress-strain method. Then compare the analysis result with the actual work coupler crack and the experiment result.Firstly, establish the 3D models refer to the 2D drawings using CATIA, and analyze the static strength of the coupler and the yoke using ANSYS Workbench software. The consequence suggests that critical sites endure bigger stress is in accordance with the real broken spot. Use the experiment data of grade E steel and the Da-Qin line load spectrum, the fatigue life of coupler and yoke is computed.
