Nowadays, under condition that power system is continuous developing, safety margin for regional network is a very important parameter for monitoring regional network security. Applying the use of safety margin skillfully for regional is very important for further development of the regional network.For power system security problems, this paper defines the safety margin for regional network in consideration of large-capacity storage and distributed generation accessing, which combined with steady-state voltage, short circuit current, regional load and the other aspects to analyze safety margin.Through the studies on the basic characteristics of large-capacity storage and distributed generation, this paper understands grid-connection conditions of large-capacity storage and distributed generation and the effects on the conditions for different network parameters. Combined with the existing research of safety margin for regional network, the paper has a relatively clearly define about safety margin for regional network, through which getting the calculation formula of safety margin for regional network.Build the integral model of regional network in consideration of large-capacity storage and distributed generation accessing by using the PSCAD software. And then accomplish the program of large-capacity storage and distributed generation with PSCAD and get the date by using software emulation. Calculate safety margin for regional network by electric way. At last, analyze the safety property of the regional network. Looking for the network structure with the maximum safety margin with the reconstruction in use of genetic algorithm.
