With the information technology being widely brought to bear in the military field, the informationization has become an important symbol of the army modernization. How to actively push the army's informationization constructing, stimulate mechanization by the informationization, and achieve by leaps and bounds the development of the army modernization, It is a major project which the whole army must study and resolve now and future. The development direction of the army informationization constructing is command automation.At present, our troops are still in the stage of"two (mechanization and informationization) Double-building", according to the national conditions, we can not follow the development mode of foreign military—from mechanization to informationization, we should seek another kind of mode—from the current stage developing to informationization stage. Our troops'informationization constructing, especially researches on command control system architecture, China has not systemic theory to support these researches yet, there are some vague understandings, therefore the study of command control system architecture for division level units can rationally and intuitively help us to understand and start to construct the military informationization.This paper mainly researches the command control system architecture of the mechanized infantry division. Firstly, from the characteristics of modern warfare—informationization, we discuss the characteristics of command automation under the informationizational condition. Secondly, we analyze six operational aspects of command control system and introduce the view of the U.S. Department of Defense Architecture(DODAF) and command control system architecture of mechanized infantry division by DODAF architecture framework, it provides a top-level referenced design for the constructing of the mechanized infantry division and its command&control system. Third, we take the command automation of mechanized infantry division as a starting point, to analyze the mechanized infantry division's operational demand. And we come to this conclusion: according to DODAF architecture framework, the designment proposal of command control system architecture for mechanized infantry division is viable. And then we detailedly summarize information acquirement, operational processes and command and control aspects and so on about command control system architecture of mechanized infantry division. Fourthly, the principle of command control system architecture is discussed; we establish a senior operational concept view, operational information exchange matrix and other aspects views for the command control system architecture of mechanized infantry division by three views theory about operation, system, technology. Also Analysis of the mechanized infantry division the components, the main functions, the main operational technical index, system connectivity, etc. We summarize this paper and prepose an assumption based on variable control center and interconnect&interoperability technical architecture about command and control.
