With the widely use of MEMS systems and portable microelectronic equip- ments,how to power the microelectronic products is need to be immediately solved. Because of the drawbacks of the chemical battery,such as limited battery life, periodic replacement,environment pollution etc,it can not meet the need of appli- cation.Thus,people began to study the method that can harvest energy from environ- ment.Devices based on the piezoelectric technology can convert energy of vibration to electricity.It has the advantages of no pollution,simple structure,etc.So people pay much attention to it.Previous study mainly focus on optimization of the structu- ral and the energy harvesting circuit,but less attention is paid on coupling two energy harvesting technologies.Thus in this article a new type of energy harvesting device is studied.The research mainly focus on the power output.After consulting many literatures,by using the theory of elasticity, electromag- netic and piezoelectric,the model of the coupled device is established.On the basic of the theory analysis,the power output is described by the method of numerical analysis.By comparing with the traditional model,the differences between them are showed.Compared with the traditional model,the model established here can reflect the relationship between power output and the frequency effectively.Based on the theory analysis,the FEA model is then established.By using the software of ANSYS,the power output of the single piezoelectric cantilever and electromagnetic is analysised.Finally,the output power of the coupled device is analysised.According to the device designed,the prototype of the coupled energy harvest- ing device is produced and the experiment is then carried out.The experiment first focus on the single mechanism.The influence factors are researched.Then,the rela- tionship between power output and the frequently and the relative distance is resear- ched.The result shows that the power has a peak value in the frequency researched. The output power has a optimal relative distance. Finally, comprehensive research on the coupled device is carried out.The research mainly focus on the influence to the single device.The performance of the coupled device is vertified by comparsi- on.The results show that the novel structure can effectively increase the power generation performance of piezoelectric cantilever.
