As the development of aerospace industry, the structure of the spacecraft is more and more complicated, and the application of the flexible truss structure in the spacecraft will be more and more. Because of the small damping and small stiffness, the truss structure working in the space is vulnerable to external disturbance so that low frequence and persistent vibration will happen, which will cause the vibration of the spacecraft and result in the precision instrument installed in the spacecraft working unnormally. Therefore, the control problem of the flexible space truss structure is an important research topic and has the practical significance. In this background, this paper works on independent modal space control method based on the modal filter and the optimal control theory, then make the mathematical simulation and do experiments. This paper is organized around the shrinkage of a flexible space intelligent truss structure as the object, The main work includes:(1) Take the space intelligent truss structure with the piezoelectric actuators as the research object, set up a simple physical model, apply the linear finite element method and the experimental method to creat the truss modeling respectively, and get the dynamic parameters and characteristics of the intelligenct truss structure.(2) Based on the practical application and the experimental purpose, design the modal filter and state observer, so as to acquire modal parameters: modal displacement and modal speed, then design the controller by using the optimal control theory. A simulation model is established according to the experimental system, and act simulation respectively considering whether the intelligent truss structure is controled by three actuators or one. During the simulation, The instantaneous incentive disturbance and cycle motivation disturbance is simulated as the instantaneous impact and the interference of reaction flywheel and other rotating parts that the space truss structure may encounter. Indicate certain conclusions by the simulation results and apply the PID controller in controlling the first mode of truss to verificate conclusion.(3) Apply the space intelligent truss active control platform for active control experiment. Firstly, build the experimental platform, then introduce the component subsystems in brief, after that elaborate the principle and process of this experiment, Finally, finish the control validation experiments and get the experimental data and conclusions.
