Although the concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) arch bridge has been widely used in China, the relevant theoretical research, especially the research on the dynamic performance of CFST arch bridge, still calls for further investigation. Meanwhile, with the development of social economy, the increasing traffic leads to the outstanding problem of vehicle-bridge coupled vibration. This paper focuses on the vehicle-bridge coupled vibration of CFST arch bridge, and does some research on the related issues.Firstly, the vibration equation of space vehicle model with seven DOF was deduced, and then based on the modal synthesis method, the analysis method of the vehicle-bridge coupled vibration considering the road roughness and the vehicle derailment was established by the separated iterative procedure in this paper. The author compiled the program AVBCV used for the analysis of the vertical vibration of vehicle-bridge system by FORTRAN, and verified it by a large number of examples. Then, the general method of simulation on vehicle- bridge coupled vibration by SIMULINK was proposed.Secondly, the dynamic model of Hunhe ChangQing bridge was established by ANSYS to calculate its natural vibration characteristics, and the calculation results agreed well with the measure results. Then, the author did the research on the effects of differences in the dynamic model to its natural vibration characteristics. Meanwhile, the author presented four reinforcement schemes and calculated their natural vibration characteristics.Thirdly, this paper analyzed the vehicle-bridge coupled vibration of the ChangQing bridge by AVBCV, and evaluated its dynamic performance and comfortableness. Then, the author did the research on the effects of road roughness, velocity of vehicle, vehicle travelling eccentricities, damping ratio of the bridge and vehicle suddenly vibration respectively.Finally, the paper evaluated the four previous refered reinforcement schemes according to the calculation results, and provided some guidance to the dynamic optimization of the ChangQing bridge.
