Experimental Research On The Driver's Characteristics Under Alcohol Effect

Drink-driving has a significant impact on road traffic safety. In recent years, our country has been increasing the crackdown on drink-driving through laying down strict laws, regulations, and provisions and strengthening public security traffic management. Facts show that a large number of drinking easily lead to traffic accident. But many people, including some experts and scholars have different points about the problems whether a small amount of drinking will have a serious impact on traffic safety and how long alcohol effect will eliminate after drinking. These problems will affect the change trend of laws and regulations and people's driving behavior. Therefore, it is necessary to carry on the driver's characteristics experiment study under alcohol effect to analyse the influence degree of driver's characteristics under different alcohol intake and the elimination time under alcohol effect of the driver's characteristics, it is of great significance for improving the road traffic safety.Based on the correlational research at home and abroad, the experimental equipments were selected, and the experimental schemes were designed from the two angles of driver's physiology and eye movement characteristics experiment under alcohol effect and driving ability experiment under alcohol effect. The test samples, test methods and experimental attention were explained in detail.On the basis of the choice of driver's physiology and eye movement characteristics indicators, this study compared driver's skin electricity change characteristics under different alcohol intake, used heart rate scatter diagram to establish the poincare section, and analysed driver's physiological characteristics under alcohol effect. Driver's fixation, saccade and blink were compared under different alcohol intake to study the change of some characteristics, such as skin electricity, heart rate, number of fixation, average fixation time, average pupil size, number of saccade, average saccade amplitude, saccade velocity peek, number of blink, average blink time, and so on. This study analysed driver's eye movement characteristics under alcohol effect.This study divided driver's driving ability into perception ability, judgment ability and operation ability. The driver's perception ability was analysed under alcohol effect through the two indicators of depth perception and speed perception. The driver's judgment ability was analysed under alcohol effect through the two indicators of selecting reaction time and attention distribution ability. The driver's operation ability was analysed under alcohol effect through the two indicators of the number of light reaction proper operation and the number of action judgment faulty operation. This study compared a variety of driving ability under the normal state and the drinking state, and then established regression relation models of various driving ability indicators and the alcohol content in driver's body.According to the recovery experiment of driver's characteristics after drinking, this study analysed the change regularity of driver's characteristics with time after drinking, and then established relation models of elimination time under alcohol effect and driver's characteristics. This study comprehensively analyzed the elimination time under alcohol effect of driver's physiological and eye movement characteristics and the elimination time under alcohol effect of driver's perception ability, judgment ability and operation ability, then gave the recovery time of driver's characteristics after drinking.
