The Brushless Doubly-Fed Machine (BDFM) is a recently developed by two different sets of pole pairs stator winding and a set of rotor winding composed of new type of AC induction motor. The BDFM can achieve multiple operation mode, such as asynchronous, synchronous and doubly-fed operation mode. The BDFM avoids the use of brush and slip ring and has some advantages, such as simple structure, robustness, reliability, adjustable power factor and a fractional rated converter. It will have wide application in the control-frequency saving-energy adjustable speed drive (ASD) systems, such as fan and pump load drives, and the constant-voltage constant-frequency (CVCF) variable speed generation (VSG) systems, such as ship shaft generator, water power and wind power generation. With the object of wound-rotor BDFM, the research aims to study the vector control strategy as motor.The main content of this dissertation is summarized as follows:First of all, based on a review of the development progress for the research on the BDFM by domestic and foreign scholars, the principle, winding structure and operation mode of wound-rotor BDFM is summarized. Thus the abc stationary reference frame analysis model of wound-rotor BDFM is given.Secondly, according to the abc stationary reference frame analysis model, the arbitrary dq0 reference frame analysis model has been derived by the coordinate transformation. Based on it, the vector control for Wound-Rotor Brushless Doubly-Fed Motor is presented.Thirdly, established the vector control simulation model of wound-rotor BDFM and simulated the control system. The results verified the good stability and excellent performance of speed adjustment of the system.With the object of a prototype machine of wound-rotor BDFM with YZR200L frame size and 7/5 pole pairs, constructed an experimental platform and took some experiments. The experiment and simulation analysis results were compared, the theory and experiment results are consistent. Laid a foundation for wound-rotor BDFM in practical application.
