As a result of changes in social needs,design standards,the original structural design changes,errors in construction,the use of environmental changes,natural disasters (storms, fires, earthquakes) etc.Many buildings and bridges will require a certain degree of maintenance and reinforcement in order to continue service. In recent years, with the improvement of scientific and technological level and the emergence of new material, reinforced technology has had a rapid development.Outside pasting steel plate or CFRP technology can be said to be now the most popular method of reinforcement, but to improve the structural performance and the actual use, there are some shortcomings. In order to better utilization of materials, based on the complementarity of the two, this paper, we consider the composite use of CFRP and steel plate to reinforced concrete structure.Through nonlinear analysis and comparably research of flexural performance of RC beams composite strengthened with CFRP and steel plate, found that the performance of beams reinforced composite is superior to a single material (CFRP or steel plate) reinforced beam.This paper firstly introduced the theory of finite element analysis of the concrete structure and solution of nonlinear equations and the dealing with the unit when it cracked or yielded. According to the characteristics of the structural and the knowledge of finite element method, a reasonable choice of the different units and the constitutive of materials,established a realistic beam finite element model which is composite strengthened with CFRP and steel plate.Based on this,I used the existing large-scale finite element analysis software ANSYS nonlinearly analyse six simply supported beams and make a comparison. Taking into account the CFRP amount,steel plate amount and some other factors,I made a further study at failure characteristics,hysteresis curve,ductility factor,skeleton curve,degeneration of rigidity and stress-strain distribution.I made a comparison between finite element analysis results and experimental data. Research shows that Finite element analysis can simulate the mechanical properties of composite reinforced concrete beams and the finite element analysis result and the tentative data difference is not big .RC beams composite reinforced with CFRP and steel plate can boost the beams'ultimate bearing capacity;improve seismic behaviors and deformability,delay rigidity degeneration,seismic behaviors of beams can also be improved effectively.
