As the development of national economy and sustainable strategy, the ideas of environmental protection and prevention of soil and water loss has been gradually widely accepted.Traditional single slope protection work has been also gradually replaced by ecological side-slope protection,which not only meets the requirements of the strategy of sustainable development and environmental protection; but also can reinforce side-slope and prevent soil erosion.Therefore ,ecological side-slope protection is the direction of future side-slope development.At present ecological side-slope protection research is just limited to qualitative analysis, but few of quantitative study.Actually, the quantitative analysis of ecological slope protection for side-slope reinforcement can directly demonstrate whether it can be suitable for this side-slope.This paper assumes root to be cross section and considers herbaceous vegetation as reinforced earth and then analyses ecological side-slope protection quantitatively, which mainly includes:(1) Understanding the research progress and general situation of ecological slope protection at home and abroad, comprehensivly elaborating the effect of mechanical mechanism, hydrological effect, landscape and environment features on vegetation slope protection.Summarizing geological types of cutting side-slope.(2) Though applying FLAC3D to analysis in the influence of rock and soil mass dilatancy angle and tensile strength on safety factor of side-slope.(3) Inspecting the stability of soil side-slope in five different conditions, such as natural side-slope protection, pure herbaceous plants side-slope protection, three mixed different modes of ecological slope protection and so on.Then comparing the analysis results and drawing conclusions eventually.(4) Combining the example of side-slope besides GuCheng to ZhuXi highway, comparing safety factor of side-slope between natural side-slope and ecological side-slope protection, and investigating the influence of ecological side-slope protection on stability of class soil side-slope.
