The fabrics behave complex in case of mechanical property. The material constitutive properties are the basis of the structural analysis, engineering design and manufacture procedure of flexible membrane structures. The estimation of the biaxial mechanical behaviour of coated fabrics is crucial for the design of tensile structures. This design relies on advanced softwares (form-finding, cutting pattern generation, stress determination) that require accurate material data.Based on the uniaxial and biaxial tensile tests,systematic research is conducted on the mechanical behaviors 0f Ferrari1302,including the uniaxial tensile test ,the uniaxial cycling loading test, the uniaxial tear test ,the biaxial tear test, the Japan membrane structure procedures and Germany membrane structure rules biaxial tensile test. In the paper, the biaxial tensile testing was all tested on our test machine.In this paper, the biaxial tensile test machine that the laboratory develops first was come ture and inclouded composition fraction of the biaxial tensile test machine each system,the priniple of the hydraulic cylinders system, test machine each equipment to choose a type, each sensor machine mark settle and control algorithm and programming. First, the test procedure was introduced, including the specimen size, test conditions and test loading process, so that the test according to the test system accurate, standardized test process. Secondly, introduced the test data analysis method, different test system corresponding to different test data analysis method to analyze the mechanical parameters .Finally, the new material Ferrari 1302 had auniaxial and biaxial directional tests, obtained the corresponding tensile curve and mechanical parameters, through various Japanese proportional biaxial tensile test, also received the 3D stress-strain curve, the test results showed that the mechanical properties of the test has significant difference, found the membrane has the complex mechanical properties geometric size, sample, test conditions, test system, load ratio, load history and different data analysis methods will get different membrane material properties. In the actual design of membrane structure engineering should be according to the different stress model test to determine the corresponding membrane engineering constants, or a film material constant interval, respectively according to the upper and lower limits on structure design analysis and safety evaluation.
