With the development of China's automobile industry and increasing of per capita car ownership,China'straffic safety problem has become increasingly prominent these years, especially young drivers'wrong driving behaviors, which bring great risks to traffic safety. A new driving behavior model (DBM) and related driving simulation was presented to analyze the reasons that caused young drivers'unsafe behaviors, finally a feedback experiment is passed to explore approaches and methods to enhence young drivers'hazard perception and reduce the rate of unsafe actions. The research work can be summarized as follows:Firstly, by analyzing the evolution of foreign driving behavior theoretical models, a new unsafe driving behavior model is proposed based on the groups of Chinese young drivers. The relationship of unsafe driving behaviors and its'preconditions and the spatial composition of the preconditions are discussed in this model, which is seeking to improve traffic safety and efficiency through the perspective of driving behaviors.Secondly, a sample group of young novice drivers were selected to conduct a comprehensive experimental program, which is composed of a potential driving test, DBQ questionnaire, related psychological scales and a driving simulation platform. This program assessed the influences of three dimensions (potential variables, basic variables and psychological variables of DUBM) to young drivers'unsafe behaviors, the results show that the influence of psychological variables overwhelms the other dimensions, which provides ideas for further simulation feedback experiment. Finally, five typical dangerous scenarios was determined by cluster interviews and related driving simulation scenarios are developed by VEGA and CREATOR softwares. Then a feedback experiment was performed based on simulation-based error managenent training(SEMT) and video-based guided error training (VGET), which aims to analyze and compare the results of three kinds of cognitive load(no driving mission, phone mission, text message mission) between the experimental group(30 participants) and the control group(30 participants). Results shows that experimental group ferforms significantly higher hazard speed contorl ability and hazard perception than its contorl group, which proving the effectiveness of the feedback program. The findings of this study shows great impact on young driver training and outcome assessment, the methods and conclusions of this study also provide ideas and means for simulation training program.
