The paper conduct numerical researches on 2-D hypersonic inlet. And then the multi-objectives and -variables optimization and improvement of the configuration on 2-D hypersonic inlet were conducted. The effects of different factors on the performance of the inlet was discussed comprehensively.The papers also give a basic research on the PSO arithmetic. The thought of natural selection and dynamic parameter are apllied to the standard PSO arithmetic, and then the new evolution arithmetic is developed. The result of test case show that the improved arithmetic perform better in terms of convergence rate and convergence speed than other PSO arithmetic.2-D supersonic inlet is selected as research object based on the review of the research process of the hypersonic inlet at home and abroad. The steady numerical simulation method on in- and out-flow field is performed. The validity of the numerical simulation method is verified through the test case and the method presented in this paper can calculate the flow field of 2-D hypersonic accurately.The 2-D hypersonic inlet is designed based on the review of the research process of the design method and theory of the hypersonic inlet at home and abroad. And optimization of 2-D hypersonic inlet configuration was conducted. In the conditions of design and off-design point, the numerical simulation was conducted on the standard configuration and optimized configuration. The result of numerical simulation show that performance of the inlet was improved greatly after optimization, but the range of the mach number that the inlet work normally is diminished.The influence of bleedings in throat and the measure of smoothing shoulder of throat by arc on performance of inlet are researched and analyse particularly. The influence of the size of bleedings and the radius of arc on performance of inlet are also considered. The result of numerical simulations show that the bleedings can improve the performance of the inlet greatly but the arc cannot improve the performance of the inlet remarkablely.
