In the modern manufacturing industry, flexible manufacturing system has beenwidely used because it can response the market changes quickly and be suitable toproduce Multi-kind and small-batch products. Modeling theory and productionscheduling algorithm are the key and difficult points in the research areas of flexiblemanufacturing system. Besides the implementation of flexible manufacturing system,the communication between devices and the design of management systems are also hotresearches. In this paper, relying on the progect of developing and equiping theintelligent FMS cell system, we give the solutions to the problems above-mentioned andapply the solutions to develop the software of FMS control&management systemsuccessfully.The key points on this paper are FMS modeling, production scheduling algorithmsand developing the control software. The main content of paper is as follows:1. Use the Object-oriented Petri Net to bulid the model of flexible manufacturingsystem and bulid the object-oriented subnet of machine, mechanical arm, warehouse,automated guided vehicle and input and output buffers. At last we give the method tosynthesize the entire system by the individual object subnets.2. An improved Virus Evolutionary Genetic Algorithm with Catastrophe factor wasproposed and we use it to solve static scheduling problems such as Job Shop and FlowShop.Compared with Genetic Algorithm and Virus Evolutionary Genetic Algorithm,the proposed algorithm performs better. We use the strategy based on Queuing theorymodel to slove dynamic scheduling problem and give several common scheduling rules.3. We introduce the details of a model line automatically processing and testingclaw-shaped workpiece. Analyzing the method FMS control software communicatingwith machines and FANUC Robot.We design motion-control instructions and developthe FMS control&management information system on the basis of the model line. AndSet up a database to manage the workpiece information throughout the machiningprocess. At last we use test cases to verify that our software has good performance.
