Planning Of The City's Colorscape Based On The Plantscape

City's colorscape is an important aspect of the urban environment. It carries the city'sgeographical and cultural characteristics, and has a very important and far-reaching impact on thedevelopment of the city and the daily lives of the people. In recent years, there is an increasinginterest on this issue. However, the research of the theory and practice in our country is farbehind others, and has many problems, which can be listed as follows:(1) not enough attention ispaid on the planning and designing of city's colorscape, and lack of sound theoretical guidance.In addition, most of the research is limited to the adjustment and control of the color in thebuilding facades;(2) too much emphasis is put on the color harmony, ignoring the substantiveconstruction of the color carrier, resulting in a "face project" and "image projects". Through theresearch in recent years, we can find that most of the city's colorscape designing take the buildingcolor as a starting point, but rarely from the perspective of plantscape. Compared with thearchitectural color, plantscape, as the carrier of urban color planning and design, has theadvantage of more ecological and sustainable development. Therefore, we take the perspectivefrom the plantscape, which provides a new analysis and design methods for city's colorscapeplanning. Due to special historical and cultural status of Nanjing, Nanjing is a very representativecase to study the planning of the city's colorscape based on the plantscape. On the basis of aquestionnaire and field survey on the city color landscape in Nanjing, this study, in light of theNanjing city characteristic, analyzes the effect of the plantscape of different spatial environmentson the city color,and the colorscape planning and design methods of different plantscape. At last,we provide some improvements on the colorscape effects of local area in Nanjing.
