Electric propulsion has become the development direction of the ship propulsion as its many advantages have been proved to be a wide range of applications. However, there are many practical application problems in the electric propulsion of the ship, and in electric propulsion system, propeller as the propeller is considered very important, so it is of great significance to simulate the electric propulsion system for ship propeller load and model it, it also play a reference role on marine electric propulsion technology applications.The propeller load is investigated in the paper, using squirrel-cage induction motor as the propulsion motor and load motor, by controlling the load torque to simulate the characteristics of the propeller, that is the consistence between the squirrel-cage induction motor shaft torque and resistance propulsion motor drive torque of the propeller work, making the characteristics of the simulation propeller work in different conditions to be accurate. The characteristics of the propeller and making the boat and paddle as a whole to develop a simulation model are both researched. The main work of this paper is as follows:Using the rotor flux orientation method based on vector control induction motor speed to control the induction motor torque. At the same time, simulating the constant torque load characteristics, class load characteristics of fan and constant power load characteristics of the ion. Using the new algorithm-the fuzzy PI controller to regulate the induction motor torque, comparing with conventional PI control, fuzzy PI improve the accuracy and following in the induction motor torque load and the sudden changes in load reduction performance.The propeller characteristics were studied and three typical characteristics of the propeller were analyzed through the relationship between the propeller parameters. Using cubic spline curve analysis the propeller characteristics, bounded into the form of speed ratio, thrust coefficient and torque coefficient of resistance to make the result better.In order to make the simulation of the propeller torque characteristics more real, using the rotating part of the propulsion system of equilibrium equations of mechanical motion to analyse and simulate the load motor torque and moment of inertia and the relationship between the real ship's propeller torque and the moment of inertia, and to translate the transfer moments. Using MATLAB/SIMULINK to model the propeller load.The simulation result can make the actual characteristics of the propeller load good by the simulation results analysis. It can predict and analysis the electric propulsion systems on theory in some way.-At the same time avoided the major mistakes on installation of the system evaluation in the field.
