In order to achieve the sustainable development of human society, countries in the world are exploring and promoting new energy sources which more cleaning and environmentally friendly. Due to characterize of the small investment, pollution-free and wide distribution, and wind power got widespread attention from humankind. As the wind power generator with a random, uncontrollable, not-adjustable nature of faults, this would significantly affect the all electric system. So, in order to avoid affecting the safe operation of the entire electric system, the hazard identification and safety assessment is particularly important for the operation of wind power equipment.This paper based on the current situation that the equipment of domestic and international wind power generation grid lack of comprehensive and scientific safety evaluation system. In the premise that wind power equipment run in low accident rate and lack of accident data, using the traditional fault tree analysis and assessment methods cannot be carried out. In this paper, for the reason of all these features of wind power, we use fuzzy probabilistic risk assessment method for its safety evaluation studies, and combine with fuzzy fault tree to describe the basic event probability, for quantitative analysis.First, we conduct a hazard analysis for fist and second device which may have potential hazards. Using the analysis of equipment failure and its hazard identification and the method of fault tree and fuzzy probabilistic risk assessment (FPRA) as a premise, combine with the fault type, effect analysis, fault tree analysis and other methods, applied them to the fuzzy probabilistic risk assessment method. Second, Through quantitative and qualitative analysis, detect equipment failure and determine the degree of the risk in time; Finally, through analysis of specific equipment failure and its hazard identification, comprehensive use of fault type, effect analysis and fault tree analysis and other methods, applied them to the fuzzy probabilistic risk assessment methods, this evaluation method can play a very important role that ensure the safety operation of wind power farm to parallel whole grid.This paper, through the safety evaluation for the specific operation of the wind power application equipment and for generating electrical accident, using the method and theory of FPRA to calculate the fuzzy probability and severity, and to determine whether the risk is expected or not, is it necessary to take safety precautions or not. On the concluded of hazard identification and evaluation concluded and corporate with the actual situation of the safety operation of wind power, inspecting and monitoring the weaknesses of wind power equipment to ensure the safety and efficient operation of wind power.
