Improving the characteristics of gas turbine is becoming more and more important because of the increase of global energy crisis and environment pollution and of increase of the gas turbine and its applications. Gas turbine has been applied widely in electrics, oil, gas transfer, transportation and so on. Compressor is the most important factor for improving the characteristics of gas turbine, and it consumes 1/2~2/3 power of the gas turbine. Besides, environment temperature affects the power output of gas turbine. When the environment temperature arises by 1℃, the power output of gas turbine would decrease by 0.54~0.90%. Decreasing the temperature of the compress process of compressor is an effective way of improving the power output of gas turbine. Wet-compress is such a technique which sprays liquid into the compressor inlet, using liquid to absorb heat to reduce the power output of compression, and thus improving the characteristics of the gas turbine. This paper has done the following works:1,Introducing CFD software and computation method, the turbulent model and the two-phase model in numerical simulation of wet-compress.2,Numerical study of inlet system atomization. Use software Proe to establish the inlet system of gas turbine, and establishing numerical model in CFX. First, study and analyze the inlet system under the given condition without atomization, then study the inlet system under different conditions as comparing basis, and finally numerically simulate the inlet system under atomization. The basic rules of atomization of inlet system are derived by comparing the details of atomization condition and without atomization.3,Numerical simulation of inlet system and atomization of compressor. In modern gas turbine atomization system, the atomization is often overwhelmed, which means the doze of atomization is too much, and then some water will enter compressor. This condition of compression is wet-compress. So, the numerical simulation study of the inlet system and compressor will explore the mechanism of water atomization and total effectiveness by atomization.
