Research on the modelling and realizations of the processing actions based on the cloud manufacturing mode is carried out. The processing actions are capable of being a sort of manufacture service providing for designers, which is benefit for providing a resource of manufacture simultaneously, and moreover, considering the convenience of adding more information into the system supporting the processing actions service. These actions will be exported as the essential attachments of machine tool. The study takes the integrated design and manufacture as the target, which can contribute to shrink the period of products designing and manufacturing and satisfy the requirements from market of being changed sharply.The comprehensive analysis of the relationship between all sorts of information existing in the process of parts designing and manufacturing is given, and the processing action is described and defined. On the basis of the resource of the machine tool, processing actions are modelled, standard of the model is formulated, and the resource of the machine tool is related to these processing actions.The framework of the system supporting the processing action service is set up according to the service mode offered by the cloud manufacturing, and the processing action is made as a service for the designers. The processing action administrator which includes the functions of adding, deleting, selecting and realizing the processing actions, and the algorithm of realizing the processing actions is formulated. The recomposing theory of processing actions is researched. Recomposing methods are accomplished by the use of a description according to producing rules.The construction of the system supporting processing actions is completed together with the realizations of all kinds of modules, which is mainly composed of modules of primary program, receiving and estimate dictates, processing actions managing, processing actions selecting, processing actions realizing and processing actions recomposing. Also, definitions of system interface and links between modules are done. Eventually, the availability of the system is validated through specific parts.Eventually, the availability and practicability of the system supporting the service of processing actions are successfully estimated and verified by specific practical cases. When processing actions are those of normal machine tools, processing procedures can be generated; when processing actions are those of numerical controlling machine tools, the numerical controlling codes are produced as a result; when processing actions are recomposed, the processing procedures and numerical controlling codes are able to be recomposed separately so that the integrated processing profiles or the new codes for numerical controlling are able to be got.
