Crankshaft is one of the most complicated parts of diesel engine, the action of periodical gas pressure, moving mass inertia force and torque make stress of compression, bending, twisting and torsion change rapidly in it. Because of the complex shape of the crankshaft, there is serious stress concentration phenomenon around the fillet and other parts. The condition of bearing lubrication of crankshaft has a significant effect on its reliability and output power.A method combining finite element method and multi-body dynamics simulation is applied to simulate one type of multi-cylinder diesel engine crankshaft system in this paper. The main content is:firstly carries the transient dynamics analysis on crankshaft using finite element analysis software ANSYS. It can well and truly gained the tresses and strain in each part of the crankshaft, and check the crankshaft fatigue strength, the calculation of the minimum safety factor is greater than the given factor; And then use multi-body dynamics software Excite to establishe reasonable diesel engine crankshaft system dynamics model, completes the simulation in an action cycle, obtain in the actual work of crankshaft torsional vibration in overall good conditions, force of the crank arm are more evenly. The main bearing minimum film thickness and maximum film pressure is also among allowable value range. Calculation and analysis about different load conditions, oil temperature conditions, work conditions, and bearing clearance gained varietydisciplinarian of the film pressure and film thickness variation in different conditions. It provides a powerful technical guarantee for precisely dynamics simulation of crankshaft, innovation design, the modification design and the optimized design.
